on-going actions

SAVE ROOFTOP SOLAR: The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) just proposed charging solar users an average of $57 per month, nearly $700 per year, simply for putting solar panels on their roof.
This, and the other components of the CPUC’s proposal, are a near-carbon copy of what PG&E and the other utilities have pushed for months. If Gov. Newsom doesn’t step in, these changes will be finalized by January 27th and go into effect this spring. PLEASE CALL GOV. NEWSOM TODAY

FREEDOM TO VOTE ACT PHONEBANK WITH COMMON CAUSE: Multiple times and dates through the end of November. Join our friends at Common Cause as they call voters in targeted states to connect them to their Senators to support the Freedom to Vote Act.

SOCIAL MEDIA STORM: FIELD TEAM 6: Each Wednesday at 11am, Field Team 6 hits the web to raise awareness for their efforts to register Democrats and save the world. Storm any time on your own (tools here) or join our Wednesday storm on Zoom for some socializing and training to develop mad storming skills! RSVP HERE. No idea what we’re talking about? Show up and learn!

POSTCARD TO REGISTER VOTERS IN KEY STATES: Join our friends at Field Team 6 to write postcards to register likely Democratic voters in key states. You can do this on your own or join a weekly virtual writing group.

INFRASTRUCTURE POSTCARDS: The infrastructure and jobs bill that passed last month is a game-changer for the country: the biggest investment in the foundation of our economy in our nation’s history. It’s now up to us to make sure that voters know it. Activate America is writing to likely Democrats in Wisconsin to let them know Democrats delivered on their promises with the new Infrastructure and Jobs Act. You may also chose to write a similar message to voters in key CA congressional districts in Spanish or in English.

FUNDRAISER FOR AFGHAN REFUGEES: Join our friends at NorCal Resist to help Afghan evacuees pay the $575 fee for each humanitarian parole application.
