Tell your representative to defund hate.

This week the House of Representatives is voting on a bill to fund the Department of Homeland Security. The Trump Administration wants a big pile of money so they can fund their machine to intimidate and deport peaceful immigrants and place refugee children in torture-like conditions in camps. Our representatives need to say NO to this. Call them and demand they not approve any funding for Trump’s cruel immigration policies.

Debate Parties!

The Democratic primary debates kick off on Wednesday and Thursday evening. Want to have some company to watch with? Join us at Kupros Craft House for the biggest debate party in Sacramento! Indivisible, Sacramento Mighty Oaks, Swing Left, and others are getting together in the upstairs room at Kupros starting at 5:30 both days. Kupros is located at 1217 21st Street in Midtown.

Pizza and Politics

Then this Sunday, June 30th, join us for Pizza and Politics. We’ll be at Round Table at 1566 Howe Ave at 1:00 for some free pizza and drinks. We have an expert coming to train us how to text bank. We’ll all need to be experts at phone banking and text banking next year, so let’s get started now.

Protecting Transgender Asylum Seekers

On Wednesday, at 6:00 p.m., NorCal Resist presents a discussion about sponsoring and accompaniment for Transgender Asylum seekers. If you want to hear about how you can help some of the most vulnerable and persecuted people in the world today, please come out to First United Methodist Church, 2100 J Street.

Sister District Events
