Special Update – 10/11/18 Hi, everbody. Less than a month from Election Day, we’re so busy that we’re sending out a second e-mail this week. Donations For a limited time, Indivisible’s national organization is matching donations to individual groups. We normally try not to hit you up for money, but we can’t pass up this opportunity. Donations will help Indivisible Sacramento cover basic expenses, including the cost of our Election Night party (at Kupros Craft House on November 6th!). If you have some spare cash and want to donate to us, please visit our Indivisible Sacramento Act Blue page. Voter Registration We’ve had a lot of people asking how to help with voter registration. Good news! We’re working on sending a team to California State University, Sacramento next week to register college students. Final dates/times are pending approval from the college, but we’re aiming for mid-day during the week most days next week. If you can help and want more details, please e-mail Jenniffer at vann.jen.m@gmail.com. Nevada If you weren’t able to make it to our Nevada field trip last month, there’s still another chance to help out in the Silver State. Indivisible Northern Nevada is still organizing canvassing to help make a difference in the crucial Senate and Governor races there. Please respond to this e-mail as soon as possible if you’re interested in going the weekend of October 27th-28th. Our Northern Nevada may be able to find a house where you can stay for the weekend! Ballot Propositions You probably have a good idea who you’re voting for in the major state races, but do you know how you want to vote for all of the 12 ballot propositions this November? Our friends at California State Strong have compiled a voter’s guide based on recommendations from Indivisible members across the State. If you’re looking for advice on how to vote, the page is worth a visit! |
