Weekly Update – 8/7/19
As we process the horror of last week’s three mass shootings, two of which are being investigated as acts of domestic terrorism, we can all recommit to the work of a lifetime: defending the norms and institutions of our democracy.
8/11/19 Cal Away Team Canvass Day this Sunday
This Sunday, INDIVISIBLE Sacramento is canvassing with the Cal Away Team in CA-04, El Dorado County. We’ll be knocking on the doors of likely Democratic voters who did not vote in the 2016 election and reminding them about the 2020 primary and general. The goal, of course, is to defeat Republican congressional incumbent Tom McClintock. If you canvassed with Cal Away for the midterms, you know how easy it is – just a friendly reminder service! INDIVISIBLE Sacramento has adopted this Sunday as our Special Day, so come on out and support the effort. Start time is 10am or 11am, your choice. Location with RSVP. RSVP here.

They’ll be addressing this question at this ACLU forum on Friday at 6pm at Fruit Ridge Community Collaborative, 4625 44th St., Sacramento. Speakers will include Sacramento County Supervisors Phil Serna and Patrick Kennedy and Sacramento Bee columnist Marcos Breton.
